  34. I am testing an HTTP server that is dedicated to ham radio..

  36. Those with mosaic (with form capability) can try it out at

  39. In the "SPACE" section,  there is an option to get the latest
  40. satellite keps...  This option will let you compute satellite
  41. trajectories based on info that you enter using the pull down menus.

  43. Another thing I wrote is an online callbook which executes an
  44. expect script to search for a callsign but that has been done
  45. already and isn't very exciting..

  47. The guts to the keplerian element thing I wrote was from "n3emo orbit"
  48. ..... a very much hacked apart orbit.  It outputs in HTML format
  49. and runs in batch mode using a single command line argument as
  50. provided by mosaic using the "GET" option in the forms..

  73. TrakSat 3.00 or something earlier?  I've run 2.7, 2.8 and 3.0, and
  74. it appears to me that 3.0 takes a step backwards.  OK, it's completely
  75. re-written in C, and it has nice pull-down menus plus a couple of new
  76. [relatively small] features, but it's slower than 2.8, the map it draws
  77. for ground-tracks is distorted (stretched out vertically), AND it's buggy
  78. (it crashes my PC easily if I make minor configuration errors).  I have
  79. a list of a number of bugs that I'm about to send to the author, along
  80. with registration money for version 2.8!

  82. I'm sticking with version 2.8 for now!  TrakSat 2.8 is clearly my
  83. favorite tracking program, and I've tried most all of the publicly
  84. available ones at one time or another (though I must admit PCT is pretty
  85. nice too).
